Synopsis:

Carriazo is a serial killer who has never killed anyone. His method is very sophisticated as he convinces other people to commit crimes for him. Through his work, Carriazo (a homicide detective in a Spanish city) convinces the relatives of the victims of some of the cases he investigates, offering them an “exclusive service”: instead of turning over those guilty of the murders to the police, he hands them over to the relatives so that they can take justice into their own hands, thus making them his murderers.

In a huge city where more than 2000 murders take place a year and 80% of them go unpunished or unsolved, he decides to offer the families of the victims the possibility of revenge. Carriazo is not following a desire for justice. The detective is simply looking for a way to increase his income with this alternative business. In this way he chooses his clients very well, he looks for people who can pay him but who do not have political power or relationships with powerful people. It is clear that these types of crimes will never be solved when they fall into a tangle of bureaucracy, buried under the new cases that arrive every day, so they will be forgotten a few days after being perpetrated.

By giving them this speech and taking advantage of the pain and feeling of helplessness that the victims’ relatives have, he manages to get a considerable number of clients. In this way he has made a small fortune that he spends to support his granddaughter and his only daughter, Lucia, a drug addict who is the greatest pain of his life.

What he doesn’t know is that Farias, a reporter for a tabloid investigative program, who always pays the police to be at the scene of the crime before everyone else, will find some coincidences and relationships between the victims she portrays. Farias realizes that the murdered people are not criminals, finding a pattern in the chain of victims and a strange coincidence: in this chain of murders, Carriazo appears as the first investigator.

Thus begins a hunt to catch the Carriazo who has already located his next victim.
